Mahjong Connect adds a clever twist to the classic Mahjong format by introducing connection-based matching. Instead of removing tiles that are simply exposed on the sides, you can connect two matching tiles if there’s a clear path between them—usually with a maximum of two 90-degree turns. This small change creates a completely different kind of strategy and makes Mahjong Connect feel more like a puzzle than a memory game.
Each level starts with a grid of tiles and a countdown timer. As you match and clear tiles, the board becomes more manageable, but don’t get too comfortable—the clock is always ticking. The challenge lies not only in finding matching tiles but also in spotting a valid path. Sometimes a pair is clearly visible, but there's no legal path to connect them. This forces players to constantly think a few moves ahead.
To play, click on a tile, then click on its match. If a valid path exists, the tiles will disappear. The goal is to clear the entire board before time runs out. Some versions allow for hints or extra time, but they’re usually limited. Mahjong Connect is great for players who enjoy visual logic games with a bit more tension than traditional Mahjong Solitaire. It keeps your eyes and mind moving quickly, making it perfect for short, focused gaming sessions.
